Did You Know?
  • Time to start the new seasons with healthy skin, scalp and hair! Our Neopel shampoo does just that! Most, if not all, of our herbs are part Antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, astringent and purifiers to be able to remove all types of buildup on the scalp. The herbs are selected specifically to help promote the healthiness or your hair and scalp. This helps to open up the pores for new hair growth to continue.

  • Did you know .... that hair sheds more depending on the season???

Your hair grows in 3 different phases.

Anagen - which is the "growth phase" which lasts 3-6 months

Catagen - which is the "transitional phase" which lasts a couple of weeks

Telogen - which is the "resting phase" which lasts about 3 months

During the telogen phase of the hair, which usually sets in towards the end of summer and beginning of autumn, the hair is resting rather than growing, and so shedding becomes more noticeable.

  • Did you know.... One of the main culprits for hair loss is severe stress. There is usually about a 3 month delay between the stressful event or time period and your hair falling out. It should only last for as long as you are going through that particular period of stress or anxiety. And as always be kind to your scalp and hair!

IMO- In My Opinion

  • IMO - You will discover that our line of products will improve the quality of your hair and skin when combined with proper diet, rest, exercise and a healthy mental, emotional, spiritual approach to life.

  • IMO - With the weather changing our scalp will start experiencing oiliness, itchiness, and dandruff. Shampooing is required more often, at least every two days. Our spray treatment is a combination of rosemary and sassafrass which along with promoting hair growth - helps combat these scalp issues. We're asked why our spray treatment needs to be refrigerated: When sprayed on the scalp, the coolness opens up the pores thus stimulating the scalp.

  • IMO - When it comes to conditioning, the scalp does benefit from a lightweight formula similar to a hydrating toner that you would apply after washing your face. It will add back moisture and soothe the skin. That is where our Neopel conditioner, which is a water-based product, is beneficial in smoothing and styling!

  • IMO - Every person should use moisturizer AT LEAST twice a day. Hydrating skin properly helps to strengthen our moisture barrier, which is critical and helps to waterproof our skin. When your skin is not properly hydrated, it can look dry, wrinkled, dull, and even saggy. Healthy skin requires long-term daily use of lotions or creams. Just like we drink water to hydrate our bodies, our skin needs continuous replenishment. This is where your skin would benefit from our Neocream, which is a deep moisturizer and can keep your face and skin smooth looking. The constant hydration that Neocream gives helps keep your skin optimally moisturized. Properly moisturized skin helps block damage like pollution, bacteria, or debris from entering your pores.

  • IMO - The hair is a mirror of overall well-being. Often, when people are ill, their hair becomes dull and lifeless. Changes in hair can be the first signs of nutritional deficiencies. Scientists analyzing a strand of hair can discover vitamin deficiencies, exposure to toxins, and chemical imbalances - even years after the fact. For example, did you know ... that too much sugar in the diet depletes vitamin B, which is very important for healthy hair.

  • IMO - Every person should be on a multivitamin supplement. This not only helps with your body but also your skin and hair. Studies have shown that supplements such as magnesium, niacin, zinc, copper are essential to our bodies. Proper nutrition as well as vitamins can ensure that your skin is always at its best. For example: Zinc improves circulation of the scalp; Copper works with the zinc to provide hair growth. Who would of thought! ..... As always "Treat your hair well!"

This Quarter/ Month

  • Topic: Dandruff has no regard for the seasons! Mild to moderate dandruff can start flaring up anytime of the year. A severe build up of flakes make cause embarrassment, severe discomfort and may eventually lead to some hair loss. Keep your scalp fresh and stimulated with our spray treatment (which is an added boost). Keep refrigerated for a cooling invigorating sensation.

Please note: dandruff is a non inflammatory scalp condition. It should not cause redness unless you are scratching your scalp repeatedly. Our Neopel products are all formulated for scalp disorders like dandruff.

  • This quarter we will be highlighting Fumitory and Burdock. Fumitory is a flowering herb. It is used in the treatment of skin problems like Dermatitis, Eczema, scabies and other skin problems. It is considered to be a general cleansing agent for the scalp. Burdock root and leaves are used for skin sores. It is one of the main ingredients for hair growth and hair loss.

  • This month we will discuss 5 of our favorite herbs used during formulation. Rosemary, Nettle leaves, Aloe Vera, Chaparral, Horse tail are known as some of the oldest therapeutic herbs used for their healing properties. All these herbs are essential for hair growth, sheen, and purifying the pores of your scalp. These herbs also help in fighting skin eruptions, psoriasis, eczema, and they all have components that work as astringents, antiseptic and an anti-inflammatory.

  • This one: One of the main culprits for hair loss is severe stress. There is usually about a 3 month delay between the stressful event or time period and your hair falling out. It should only last for as long as you are going through that particular period of stress or anxiety. See your Dr. if you have any concerns and as always be kind to your scalp and hair!
